Our Goal

Our goal is to supply 1000 students with footwear by partnering with Because International to provide 1000 pairs of The Shoe That Grows.

The Shoe That Grows has 5x the impact of an ordinary shoe because it expands 5 sizes and lasts for years. This adjustable shoe is easy to clean and easy to use, has a compressed rubber sole, antibacterial synthetic upper, high-grade Velcro straps, and no mechanical parts or gears to break.

We believe that job creation is a powerful tool in the fight against poverty. Since 2019, all pairs of The Shoe That Grows have been manufactured in Mombasa, Kenya—creating jobs in one of the communities where it’s distributed most.

Why Is This Campaign Important

We are doing this because the children from hard-to-reach areas in Haiti have to travel a long distance to get to school. Sometimes they walk for hours through poor road infrastructure causing their shoes to be damaged. We discovered The Shoe That Grows and it provided a solution to our problem, a great quality shoe that grows with their feet and can last them up to 5 years! Creating a fundraising page and partnering with Because International will make it possible for students to reach school safely.

Children who get sick miss school, can’t help their families, and suffer needlessly. And since children’s feet grow so quickly, they often outgrow donated shoes within a year, leaving them once again exposed to illness and disease.
